Jim Stockstill

Jim started bending wire as a bored helicopter mechanic in the army in the mid 70's. Some nuts and bolts on helicopters must be "safety wired" and he started just writing with the safety wire, it was a very thin gauge steel wire so most thing were rather small, he wanted something that would be more visible so he used what was at hand - wire coat hangers, he no longer uses coat hangers but prefers welding rods in various metals and picked up working with barbed wire as well as gold and silver and using a solder iron for more intricate works. When working arts and crafts shows Jim makes a name while they wait.
